親愛的基督徒朋友：

我寫這封信是要感謝您們的聖誕禮物，我會將這珍貴的禮物用於一些很特別的地方。

很高興收到有關台灣和您們在北美各種會議的消息。也謝謝通知我們，過去的一年有那些退休宣教師過世的消息，其中有些人我認識，當時也收到他們過世的消息。其他的我沒有聯絡，但是很高興能得到他們的消息。你們關懷過去和現在宣教師的方式，是非常令人感動的。

去年9月我訪問了台灣一趟，主要是出席慶祝台灣基督長老教會成立婦女事工部90週年，這是一個美好的慶祝活動。然後我花了三個星期在彰化，訪問彰化基督教醫院和分院的朋友及工作人員。令我驚喜和訝異的是，他們提供了非常多的持續性醫療和信仰關顧。

另一個附件，是我的聖誕通訊，希望您與TCCCNA的人分享。

我的腿從11月25日以後就一直不舒服，我想可能與去台灣的長途航程有關係，所以以後出遊我必須很小心。也因為如此，在教會與社區有很多活動我無法去參與，必須等到1月上旬；我也因此錯過了很多的聖誕音樂會等。但是，感謝神的恩典，我得以到教會參加了聖誕夜平安禮拜，可惜沒能在詩班獻唱。我還有一個地方還沒有痊癒，所以我只能耐心等待完全癒合的時候。感謝您的祈禱，相信我會繼續得到醫治，盼望在不久的將來，我能夠完全恢復到能做所有的事情。

腿傷使我不能使用電腦，請接受我的道歉，沒有及早回信。

Dear Christian Friends:

I am writing to thank everyone for their kindness in sending me the lovely Christmas gift. It is most appreciated and I will use if for something special.

I appreciate receiving your news of both Taiwan and the various conferences and meetings you have had in North America.

Thank you for including the names of various missionaries who have died during the past year. I knew some of them personally and heard of their deaths at the time. Others I do not have contact with so it is good to learn of them as well. Your faithfulness to the previous and present missionaries is very special.

I visited Taiwan this past September to attend the 90th Anniversary of the Women’s Ministry in Taiwan. It was a wonderful celebration. Then I spent three weeks in Changhua with friends and staff of Changhua Christian Hospital and its branch hospitals.

It is amazing at the continuing medical and evangelical care they are providing for so many.

I will send my Christmas newsletter by another attachment so you can use it as you wish.

I was not well with problems with my legs from Nov 25- and wonder if some of this was related to the long flights to and from Taiwan so I have to be careful in the future. I was not able to do many things at the church and community until first part of January and missed much of the Christmas music, etc. But I did get to church on Christmas Eve but certainly did not sing in the choir. There is still one spot that has not healed so I am waiting for the time when it will be completely healed. Appreciate your prayers for this and trust the healing will continue and I will be able to back to all the things I do.

I was not able to be at the computer as long so I am still getting caught up with correspondence. Please accept my apologies for not answering sooner.
