親愛的Sek Iong Lim牧師，                                                                                                                               1/18/2014

再一次，謝謝你代表TCCCNA非常慷慨的聖誕禮物。你們對前退休傳教士這樣的懷念與支持，非常令人感動。現在，丹已經過世，而與台灣的直接鎖鏈已經斷了，你不妨把我的名字從你的聖誕禮物清單拿掉。但是我希望仍然能接到你們的年度新聞郵件，以保持聯繫，並記得在美國的台灣基督徒。

丹過世之後，我持續忙碌，現在已經開始進入2014年，我不得不說，他是”去年”去世的。這讓我想起怎麼時間過得這麼快，它到哪裡去了呢？

奇怪的是，在丹的葬禮上遇到Boris Anderson(安慕理)的女兒，但是僅僅過了2個禮拜，她的父親也過世了。他是1946年丹初到中國下船時認識的，如今或許丹會在那裏迎接Boris進入榮耀呢！

願上帝的祝福與你們同在，並通過基督徒家庭的影響，看到神的工作在當地落根。

Dear Rev. Sek Iong Lim,

Once more, thank you for the very generous Christmas gift sent on behalf of TCCCNA. It is very wonderful that you all want to remember former missionaries in this way. Now that Dan has died, and that direct link with Taiwan has gone you may wish to take my name off your Christmas gift list. It would still be good to receive your annual mailing of news to maintain the contact and to remember Taiwanese Christians in America.

My time has continued to be full since Dan died and now that 2014 has begun I have to say that he died 'last year'. It reminds me how the time has passed quickly. Where does it go?

It was strange that only 2 weeks after meeting Boris Anderson's daughter at Dan's funeral, her father too should pass away. He had met Dan off the boat when Dan first arrived in China in 1946. Perhaps Dan was able to welcome Boris as he arrived in glory?

May you be blessed in your ministry and see God at work locally and through the influence of the Christian family.
